I'm fully aware that I haven't updated in... AGES and I'm SO SORRY!

Thing is, I'M NOW AT UNI! :D It's been so hectic actually, what with fresher's week and all that, but around the start of September I also managed to get myself a job so was fairly busy with that too!

Anyways, what I want to say is, a few days before I started Uni (29th Sept was the day I officially moved in and started!) I somehow managed to get a virus on my computer.

It was only my second week of Uni that I managed to get this all sorted out. It's now just starting week 5, but I honestly wasn't in the mood to deal with anything for the time being.

I hate losing all my files and I did just that when I had to reformat the computer. It goes without saying that I lost all my files for my site as well. This would be why I haven't updated in forever :(

I just got SmartFTP back about... 10 mins ago and am transferring all the files I have uploaded onto the server onto my computer. Thank God for FTP!

Those of you who I owe it to put up your link as a link exchange, I am so sorry for the delay! I will do it as soon as everything finishes transferring! And those who have commented but I haven't replied to, again, I am so sorry! Just trying to get everything sorted again atm, sigh.

Stupid spam caused me to have 300+ comments in my previous post... unfortunately I couldn't be bothered to select all the spam to delete so I deleted all, hence, the 7 original real comments are gone too :( But oh well... I'll live ^^

It's a really good script actually XD I tested it out and it works fine, so if it doesn't or you find something wrong with it, please email me (you will find the link somewhere if you're not a bot^^) or leave a note in the tagboard.

Yes, it is officially 2 years old!!! ^________________^

I'm so happy! Even though all the neglections and inactivity this site has gone through, it's lasted to 2 years! I really am so happy ^^ I never thought it'd make it this far!

I've had other sites before, of course, but they'd all long been closed down, I'd moved onto something bigger and better or just lost the passion to update at all, so I'm actually overjoyed I can blog about a 2 year anniversary of a site of mine!

I really, really have to thank my hostess, Teddy for all she's done for me, her patience with me through my idiocy and of course, hosting me for the past two years!

I've been doing a CG piece of art on photoshop lately. I think it's the best I've ever done actually. It's still unfinished, but since it's CK.TW.ORG's 2 year anniversary, I'll give you all a mini-preview of it ^^

It's actually called experimental, because it was doodled originally as an experiment. I didn't expect it to turn out well at all, but it's exceeded my expectations! :D

It was originally only going to be line-art as well but I suddenly decided to experiment with colouring it in so it certainly lives up to its experimental name! x]

The colouring, as you can tell, is incomplete! The rest of the hair will be as detailed as the colouring on the fringe and curls, eventually! The lineart is also incomplete and I've done a little more of a sketch for it but that's all I'm up for showing in terms of how far I've got with the piece ^^;;

Ahhh I guess I should update since I haven't in forever!!!

To be honest, I've been meaning to for a while but just... haven't. I'm too lazy, I guess! Anyways, I tried installing wordpress on this site a while ago actually. It worked, but I have no idea how to code wordpress!

And as soon as I installed it I realised the format really wouldn't work for my site, I don't think. It doesn't fulfil the purpose of how I want my entries and layout to be. My site is not a blog.

Anyways, aside from that, China finished on 51 Golds, 21 Silvers and 28 Bronze, which is a total of 100 medals ^_^

I'm dead proud of my country!!!

Only shame is, we lead in terms of quality of medals, but USA still have 10 more medals than us overall. Tho, tbh, that doesn't bother me too much. 100 medals is a wonderful number to have! And we broke 50 Golds!

That is something to be celebrated in itself ^_^

I was really disappointed when we lost the final gold in diving though!!! Oh my word I was about to cry! You'd think I was the one who lost the competition or something!!

But yeah, I was so terribly disappointed... I thought, because of it, we wouldn't break 50. Diving was the golden opportunity, really... But then the guy leading fked up a 30 point lead! And lost the gold!

Kudos to the Australian guy who did the most perfect 3.8 difficulty dive ever, but if the Chinese guy didn't fk up his last dive we still would have kept our gold!!!

We ended up being 4.8 points behind.

ARGH why did he just have to screw up that final dive?! He was consistently getting 89/90+ points and then royally screwed up his last dive and got 74 points.

Damn.

Oh well I'll live.

Poor guy, though. Must be so damn disappointed. Both the Chinese athletes, actually. He lead for the first round of prelims, then the other Chinese athlete, Huo Liang, was top of the semi-finals with the other in second, then they ended up with the other guy in second and Huo Liang coming in 4th in the final >_<

The pressure must have been immense... I feel so bad for those guys!

And Liu Xiang.

My days... I doubt anyone could comprehend how much anguish he's going through.

Anyways, I have to go~ ^_^

Did I mention I'm going to my first choice Warwick Uni? ;) Dno if that means anything to you guys, but it's a good thing! XD

22 Gold, 8 Silver and 5 Bronze are the current medal standings for China! Brings us up to 35 medals altogether and no.1 in terms of quality and quantity of medals :)

We beat Korea for gold in women's individual archery today! I was so impressed! Seriously! Korea's always been so strong in terms of archery so for us to win is something big!

And we also won women's team gymnastics a couple of days ago too! I'm so impressed and pleased with how we're doing ♥

Though really not impressed with how many of our badminton players have been eliminated though! But at least today Li Na beat Venus Williams in women's singles tennis!

That was unexpected!

But since I watched that game I've really become intrigued! And I think I've picked up most of the rules from that too, so have decided to follow that as well from now on along with diving, gymnastics, table tennis, badminton and the occassional shooting match (^________^)v

Anyways, other countries have probably become jealous at our lead... I know Britain's making a massive deal out of certain aspects of the opening ceremony, (I won't go into detail because I expect Ani will be making a VOWE on it later--her first post? I hope not. I'd rather she does an introduction before going straight into a VOWE but I guess it's up to her. And if she posts nothing... well...) which they probably wouldn't if we weren't kicking their arses so bad in terms of medals and USA's dead sore that their women got silver in gymnastics and we acquired gold.

I read an article from NBC reporting China's victory in women's gymnastics and they constantly made jabs about the ages of China's athletes because there was some controversy about it.

Sure they look young, but just because they look younger than 16 doesn't mean they are. No offense, but if the 20 yr old of the group looks 16, is it a wonder the 16 yr olds look younger?

I mean, anyone who knows me would say I have a babyface. It runs in Chinese genes--we just naturally look younger. All my friends say my 45-yr-old mother looks 35 and I look 15 even though I'm now 18. When I was 16, I was often--and I mean, very often--mistaken for an 11 year old.

In fact, I got mistaken for an 11 year old so often it just got insulting ¬_¬

I mean, the worst was when I was in lower sixth (when I was 16 going on 17), I walked into the cantene and this group of lower school kids came up to me and asked if I was year 8 (12-13 yr olds). I was pretty speechless.

Okay, so even if I had a babyface, could they not tell from the fact that I was not wearing uniform that I couldn't have been in the lower school?! (For those of you not in UK: yrs 7-11 wear school uniform, years 12-13 aka lower sixth and upper sixth don't, if you go to sixth form after year 11)

So yus, USA can shove those claims up theirs cos I am pretty solid proof that Chinese 16-yr-olds can pass off for 11-yr-olds.

In fact, I said to myself I'd be a good girl and pay adult fare after I turned 18. Once, I paid adult fare on the bus and got a child's ticket =_=;; aka bus driver thought I was 15 or younger.

Ah well, Ani called me today--3 times, which is really unexpected cos since I moved away she has barely called at all, if ever! Then again, today was results day so that probably had something to do with it. We barely speak these days tho.

She didn't get in contact until 2 days+ after she got back from China and even then it was me who called her first and she cut our convo short cos she was busy, then I was the one who called her again the day after because she never returned the call she said she would.

She said today she'd post something here and send me the stuff to update her pages tho, but then again she said that twice before already. I guess I've learnt not to expect anything cos if you do you'll just end up with disappointment if something doesn't meet expectations, so better not to expect at all :) This wasn't something I learnt from just her tho.

Tbh, if she doesn't post something within the next week I will just pull her stuff down because if she's not even committed enough to get her pages started, she'll never make any updates on here.

I know she's secondary on the site and all, but even if it's secondary to her she should at least get the pages started, right? Esp since I'm now pleased with this site and trying to promote it yet I have a subsection 'under construction' :s

Doesn't matter if she doesn't update anything, but having empty pages is really irritating me, esp after my revamp launch I wanted all pages to be completed. I worked very hard to get everything up!

Anyways, the last time she called me it ended up quite a long convo and I wasn't able to wash the dishes that I said I would so I'll wake up early tomorrow to do that.

Tbh I should have just cut off our convo and washed dishes first--that's what she'd do--but she sounded frustrated and was having a little rant time and sounded like she needed a listener so I listened :)

Knackered now.
